Detail Engineering

Detail Engineering

What is Detail Engineering?

Detail Engineering builds on the results of Basic Engineering and thus represents an advanced phase of project implementation. The technical elaborations and constructions are recorded in detail, for the optimal implementation of the project in the further course.

What tasks are performed in Detail Engineering?

The tasks of Detail Engineering are diverse and interdisciplinary, so that a team of trained professionals from different industries work together.

  • Preparation of detailed technical drawings and visualizations of the plant using CAD software and 3D modeling.
  • Preparation of detailed 3D models for piping and structural steel components, taking into account sizes, materials and connections.
  • Developing and elaborating special design solutions for specific requirements using CAD software such as Inventor.
  • Performing static calculations to determine the loads, stresses and strengths of pipelines.
  • Calculating mechanical stresses and loads in pipelines, especially with regard to pressure surges and dynamic loads.
  • Determination of technical specifications and design of equipment, piping components and parts.
  • Determination of the essential technical requirements for main components and fittings.
  • Preparation of detailed tender documents to be used for awarding construction and supply contracts.
  • Flange proofs
  • Preparation of manufacturing documents
  • Preparation of comprehensive manuals containing information on operation, maintenance and servicing of the plant.
