Plastic pollution is one of the most pressing problems of our time. New disposal methods are constantly being sought for an ever increasing amount of waste.

Our innovation is now getting the recycling market moving. Thanks to a special technology, the PURPLAN recycling plant can process plastic waste for industrial reuse. Plastics such as PET are shredded, broken down into small units and then placed in a chemical reactor. There the whole thing is heated to around 300 degrees and mixed with various chemicals. The raw material polyol is created through the chemical reaction, glycolysis.

This raw material can then be reprocessed, for example for mattresses or shoe soles.

With our new recycling plant, it will be economically sensible for many producers to separate and process contaminated plastics for the first time.
